About this event

The WhatsOnStage Awards are the only major theatre awards in which you, the audience, are the judges across all categories.

Key dates for the 2018 awards are:

27 October - Nominations open

24 November - Nominations close

1 December - Shortlists announced and voting opens

31 January - Voting closes

25 February - Winners announced at the Awards Concert

Each year, the awards shortlists are drawn up with the help of thousands of theatregoers who log on to nominate their favourites across all awards categories.

The shortlists are announced at a launch event held in early December, when voting opens and runs until the end of January.

Equity Award for Services to Theatre

This Award acknowledges the hard work that takes place off stage to make productions happen.

You can nominate any person that you would like to see recognised for their contribution to the theatre industry.

This award will be decided on nominations only; it will not be shortlisted and will not be part of the voting process in December and January.

Nominations and voting

Nominations and votes are limited to one per person and require an email address to maintain integrity of the submission.

The organisers do everything they can to ensure fairness across the board and many performers and productions mobilise their fanbase, so be sure to get involved and spread the word using #WOSAwards.

Winners announced at the Awards Concert on 25 February 2018.
