After a sellout production in 2014 at Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre, All Star Productions have joined forces with Trilby Productions and The Cockpit to bring a new adaptation of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods to the stage.
The show is scheduled to run at The Cockpit from 23 May to 24 June 2018.
Directed by Tim McArthur, this contemporary revival will give the musical a 21st century twist that promises to both enchant and thrill, with characters drawn from modern day Britain.
Casting is set to be announced soon and tickets are on-sale right now.
Comically dark masterpiece of a musical where well known fairy tales interweave to create a magical world which suddenly turns upside down revealing the 'Grimm' darkness of these traditional stories.
Beware of what you wish for ...
Performed in the round, you will feel that you too are in the middle of the forest with an ensemble of 17 larger than life characters drawn from modern day Britain, complete with a cocaine-snorting Rapunzel, a paedophile Wolf and an evil stepmother straight from Towie.
