Flugelman Productions will present the London premiere of Boxman at the Blue Elephant Theatre from 4 to 6 July 2018.

Written by Australian playwright Daniel Keene, the play follows a homeless refugee, Ringo.

Boxman is touring during the summer months, having just been at the Brighton Fringe where the play received a 5 star review from Broadway Baby.

Next it moves to Exeter Phoenix, before its run at Blue Elephant Theatre, from where it goes on to the Ventnor Fringe on the Isle of Wight.

Flugelman Productions is taking this opportunity to raise awareness and money for Refugee Council who work with refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK, offering practical support and advice throughout their journey in the UK.

Refugee Council have been helping refugees for more than 60 years and have a thorough understanding of the difficulties facing people arriving in the UK, having fled war, rape, torture and with unimaginable stories to tell.

Many refugees have lost everything and their lives will never return to normal.

The help the Refugee Council offer is invaluable to help refugees to rebuild their lives.

Most recently, Flugelman Productions successfully presented 'The Poetry We Make' at the VAULT festival in January 2018, after it's short fringe venue tour around London and at the Brighton Fringe Festival.

Synopsis

There are more than 60 million displaced people on our planet ... people who have no home.

Ringo is one of them.

He is a survivor, a child soldier displaced from his homeland, sheltering in a cardboard box in an inner city park.

He lives in plain sight but is invisible to the city around him.

But inside his makeshift 'home', Ringo lives a life rich with stories and songs of a childhood far away, a family tragically lost and the complicated promise of a new beginning.
