Synopsis

Hey, fella,

Feel like you're a failure?

Bailiff on your tail? Your wife run off for good?

Hey, fella, feel misunderstood?

C'mere and kill a president ...

This darkly humorous historical satire gives a voice to the men and women who set out to kill American presidents - four of them successfully.

Do these disturbed and disturbing individuals act because they hope to influence national politics?

Or because they are wrapped up in a malignant sense of entitlement?

Feeling betrayed by the failed promise of the American Dream, they strike out at the symbol for America, their President, with giddy hopes and grisly outcomes.

Most recently seen in 2014 at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Assassins spans many decades of American history and musical styles in a dizzying series of musical and theatrical inventions.
