Ned Cox (author of White Bear hits 'Walking The Cyclone', 'Bastardz' and last season 'Mouth To Mouth' returns to his favourite theatre space with an insane new comedy written in homage to Spanish surrealist-absurdist Fernando Arabbal: AVALON.
What if you were the Biggest Bastard on the Block?
And you suddenly developed A Conscience?
Once upon a time there was a kingdom called Spain.
One day the king was overthrown, and some nice men set up a government that made everything equal for everybody.
But then, some very angry people decided to overthrow the government.
Both sides are preparing for a great Civil War.
And you know what that means.
Yes, it's time for a few very lucky people to get very VERY rich!
1936. Industrialist Twelvetrees paces the stateroom of his private cargo ship, steaming towards the Canary Islands to sell thousands of rifles to the Spanish communists.
He's being plagued by Nagging Doubts and Dreadful Nightmares.
Joining him onboard: a highly-honoured Psychoanalyst and a an internationally-renowned Psychic.
Their Mission: to extinguish the fires of Goodness suddenly raging within the tyrannical Twelvetrees ... before the whole deal goes pear-shaped.
