Six extraordinary women, each wrestling with their own version of reality, live a dystopian and dysfunctional existence in the captivity of the sinister 'Mistress'.
Their fragile peace is shattered by the arrival of a 'Wild One', a creature from outside that still remembers what is to live free.
Desperate to escape, she struggles to make the others remember who they were, and who they could be.
Cagebirds is a bold and beautiful story of imprisonment, whether it be behind barred windows and locked doors, or inside the confines of your own head, and what it really costs to break free.
