Following the Beckett In London festival at the Coronet in 2016, Gare St Lazare Ireland return to the theatre with How It Is (Part One) - one of the most important and powerful prose works in Beckett's canon.
Judy Hegarty Lovett and Conor Lovett - artistic director duo of Gare St Lazare Ireland - are widely recognised as the pre-eminent interpreters of Beckett's prose.
This major staging of How It Is (Part 1) sees them joined by Olivier and BAFTA Award winner Stephen Dillane and Tony-nominated composer and sound designer Mel Mercier.
A man lies in the mud, in the dark.
He repeats his life as he hears it, uttered by another voice, telling how it was.
Meanwhile memories surface, perhaps, of life above in the light.
