Background

Kinky Boots first opened in a pre-Broadway tryout at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago on the 2nd October 2012.

After a bit of tweaking, the show made its Broadway transfer and opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on the 4th April 2013.

In it's opening year on Broadway, Kinky Boots won a commendable 6 Tony Awards, including the prestigious award for Best New Musical.

Synopsis

Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from the factory floor to the glamorous catwalks of Milan.

Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son.

With the shoe factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.
