Background

Featuring a cast including actor-musicians, Caroline Byrne's timely adaptation is stripped bare by raw percussive energy composed by Tasha Taylor Johnson and Line Bech's striking costume designs.

YV Unpacked is a new strand of work that is free and open to everyone, taking the highest quality art to places where theatre doesn't normally happen.

Before arriving at the Young Vic, Spring Awakening will be performed in the community, including at refugee centres, prisons, women's refuges and homeless shelters.
