Synopsis

Contemporary Mexico: Alejandra is looking for her missing sister Nadia, meanwhile Nadia takes us on a journey to her past.

The Castilla Sisters is a story of hope, of finding your place in the world and of self-acceptance.

We'll meet a host of characters along the way, as seen through the eyes of these two sisters, and touch on themes such as violence against women, queerness in Latin America, marriage, religion, police brutality, sharing a room, tortillas, mudcakes, and being in love with girls in green dresses.
