Background


Award-winning writer Lucy Prebble places modern medicine under the microscope, examining the fallout from a collision between love and science.


Her other plays include A Very Expensive Poison (Old Vic), ENRON (Chichester, Royal Court, West End) and The Sugar Syndrome (Royal Court).


The first London revival of The Effect is directed by Anthony Neilson, who has worked extensively as both a writer and director.


Credits as writer and director include The Tell-Tale Heart (National Theatre), The Prudes and Unreachable (Royal Court).
