Established in 2018, Somna Theatre is a brand new, London-based theatre company.
Their productions include Who Put Bella in the Wych Elm (now titled There's a Man in the Woods) at the 2018 London Horror festival, a revival of Philip Ridley's the Pitchfork Disney, and a scratch of a brand new musical In Sickness and in Health at the Lyric Hammersmith Evolution Festival.
Somna Theatre focuses its body of work on both new writing and established pieces.
They believe storytelling comes first and create accessible story driven pieces that are supported by experimental forms of presentation and design.
They centre themselves around genres such as dark comedy, horror, and science fiction.
They focus chiefly on the intimate and uncanny.
Our core mission comes down to creating theatre that is accessible, practical, and story driven with striking aesthetics.
Our upcoming projects include an immersive one woman show at the London Horror Festival 2019, a collaboration with Flux Theatre, and curating a new fringe festival around failed work for spring 2020.
There is a limit to how much you can love your child.
Russell knows that now.
Hiding in a storm drain in the Nebraskan woods he desperately tries to piece together the warning signs surrounding his alienated son and the mess he made.
Soon, he begins to see the extent of his own neglect.
Too bad it's too late.
Brimming with suspense and intrigue, this five star transfer from the London Horror Festival is the bone chilling debut from Somna Theare.
This is the story of a father and son and the search for truth, asking the question - can you forgive your own child if the world no longer sees them as human?
