Background

Natasha Santos is an actor, writer and comedy performer.

Trained at Drama Studio London, she went on to develop her first play 'Marlborough Road' in 2012 with fellow graduates.

The play was backed by Richard Curtis and Emma Freud and enjoyed a sell out run at the Hen & Chickens Theatre.

Since then she has worked extensively in regional theatre, sketch comedy and voice over and is the current voice for VERY.CO.UK and Simple Skin Care.

Getting Over Everest is her second full length production.

Katherine Timms is an experienced director, specialising in developing new writing by female artists.

She first collaborated with Natasha on 'Marlborough Road', and jumped at the chance to join forces with her again to develop Getting Over Everest.

Previous directing credits include: Water Cooler (The Arcola, Miniaturists) Frankenstein (The Space), The Plough (SLAM), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Bread & Roses Theatre).

Synopsis

Getting dumped is like a mountain, full of setbacks and revenge cock ... wait, what?

Getting Over Everest is a comedic look at the peril of being dumped.

Written and performed by Natasha Santos (Sh**faced Shakespeare, Leicester Square Theatre; Marlborough Road, Hen & Chickens Theatre) and directed by Katherine Timms (The Plough, The Jack Wills Young Brit Awards).

Defined by her relationship status, Libby knows little else.

When Rob Everest unexpectedly decides to cut ties, she spirals into an unannounced depression as she tries to find her feet outside of a 10 year relationship.

With the support of her friend Steph and the man from the bar, outspoken and explicit Libby attempts to find out who she is and what life has to offer.

A unique female led production combining monologue storytelling, ensemble, character comedy and the ultimate breakup playlist.
