This Realm, This England is a new lighting installation to accompany the RSC's King and Country cycle of plays on the Barbican stage this winter.

Inspired by the set design for the plays, the installation explores the use of creative stage lighting and projections in the productions.

Designers use lighting techniques to enhance the storytelling of a play. Light changes can signify the beginning of a new scene and the passing of time. Projections are used to create different atmospheres and reflect characters’ emotions.

The installation will be on display in the Barbican Centre's Mezzanine Foyer.
