And we do not have any automatic way (for example through computer code) in which we can collect information (like an email address) about a named individual.
However, there are ways in which we do collect your personal data, but you will always know when you are submitting your data to us.
These are:
1. when you complete one of our on-line forms, for example to contact us, or to send us details about a show
2. when you buy tickets through the ActDrop branded ticketing system at this address: https://actdrop.entstix.com.
More details about these are given below.

Forms
We provide a number of forms on our site to enable our site visitors, PR Agents, theatres, producers, production companies and others to get in touch with us to provide information about London theatre shows, theatres, theatre festivals, theatre-related events and other information that we publish in the various sections on our site.
When you contact us using one of our forms, we ask you to provide your name, email address and telephone number which we use only as a means to contact you in case we need to check information which you have supplied to us.
We keep the information you have sent to us only for as long as we need it to keep in touch with you.
For example, if you complete a show listing form, we will only keep any personal information about you for the duration of the show's run and will then delete it.
We will, however, keep details of the show itself for archive purposes.
Information, including any accompanying personal data, which we obtain through our online forms is never shared with or sold or made available to any third party under any circumstances.
Theatre tickets
In our show listing pages and through links on graphic banners displayed throughout our site, you will find links to buy theatre tickets.
When you click on these links you will be taken to either
1. ActDrop's branded ticket site (which is provided by Encore Tickets Limited), or
2. to the ticketing system provided by the relevant theatre.
In the first case above, any purchase of theatre tickets you make will be handled by Encore Tickets Limited and which includes how we fit into it as an e-commerce partner with Encore.

Normally we hold email, telephone, website address and sometimes office postal addresses for our contacts.

We use Google Analytics to help us keep track of how our website is used so we can improve it over time and provide the best possible experience to all our users.
Google Analytics allows us to see how many visitors have been to our site, which pages are most popular, where our visitors have come from and so on.
The information collected does not allow us to identify any named individual and does not provide us with any of your personal information such as your email address, telephone number etc.
You can
Our website servers also collect statistics about visitors to our site such as total number of visits, pages visited as well as the visitors location.
We use industry standard software to collect this information.
We do not identify any named individuals using this data nor have access to any personal information about visitors.
Information about individuals in our listings
In our news items, link listings, show and theatre listings we display the names of individuals who, for example, are taking part in shows.
We obtain this data in a number of ways either through publicly available information on theatre websites or through contacts made with press representatives and PR agents, theatres or production companies.
In general, we only identify cast members, authors and creatives taking part in shows using their names and the roles they are performing in the production.
We don't generally hold any other information (for example email addresses or telephone numbers) about these people unless a show participant has sent us information using one of our forms (as described above).
However, even when we have information such as an email address or telephone number, we never publicly display that information in the listing on our site.
It is customary practice for listings' sites to include names of people taking part in shows, and most actors and creative personnel are happy to be identified with the productions they are involved in.
However, it you are taking part in a show and do not wish your name to be publicly displayed in our listings information, you can contact us (as detailed below) to request removal.
How long we keep information
At ActDrop we only keep personal information for as long as it may be needed to keep in touch with you.
If you are working in the theatre industry, for example as a press agent, or producer, we will generally continue to retain your contact information while we still exchange information.
When you send in one of our forms, we will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary to clarify any current information – for example, if you send us show information through our online listing form, we will only keep your personal contact information until the show ends its run.
If you buy tickets through our branded ticketing site provided by Encore Tickets Limited, you should which describes how long they will keep your personal information for.
