Mark Rylance and Shakespeare's Globe are taking a company of 25 actors to Westminster Abbey on 21 and 22 April, for a unique event to celebrate Shakespeare's birthday.
For two nights only, the company will create a beautiful and unexpected world within the sacred space.
Consider the war-weary soldier or the hapless lover, behold a great Monarch or bide awhile with a lone and prayerful soul as you explore the famous Abbey on this special evening.
All Places that the Eye of Heaven Visits is a collection of fleeting and intimate encounters with Shakespeare’s drama, poetry and song beneath the soaring ribs of London's spectacular Westminster Abbey.
This is a ‘promenade’ style performance where you move around the site between actors and areas at your own pace, but there are various spots within the Abbey where you’ll be able to pause, have a seat and take in the surroundings.
Since this was always going to be a massively popular event, tickets have now sold-out.
However, Shakespeare's Globe are advsing checking their web page for the event to see if any tickets have been returned and are up for purchase.
