Theatres and coronavirus

From Monday 19 July, theatres in London are allowed to operate without capacity limits.

And all legal restrictions imposed by the government will be removed.

However, most theatres will still be following procedures such as electronic ticketing etc and may require masks to be worn.

Note that some performances have been cancelled where cast or staff have tested positive and need to isolate.

We advise checking theatre websites for the latest information and what you can expect when visiting.

Synopsis

Once a year, the Prince unlocks the doors of his RED PALACE for a masquerade of divine proportions.

The Palace is Red, long live The Palace.

From the creators of immersive banquet show DIVINE PROPORTIONS, Shotgun Carousel Presents:

A new immersive cabaret experience conjured from the darkest, most beguiling and magical folk tales.

RED PALACE is a night of feast and fantasy, glitter and doom, within a Gothic masquerade that breathes new life into our most beloved fairytale characters, all fit for a beastly ball.

Don your mask and your devilish alter ego.

Drink and be merry, for who knows how this party will end?

Join The Prince and his fairytale guests in the living labyrinth of the Red Palace and enjoy a decadent evening of feast and fantasy, glitter and doom.

It is up to you to roam the halls of the Gothic masked ball and meet as many members of the court as you dare.

Witness the beautiful, the brilliant, the wanton, the bizarre.

The eyes may be the window to the soul, but when a creature wears a mask they cannot be trusted.

From the moment you join this pulsating and swirling revelry, nothing and no one is what they seem.

Dance, dine and discover what you can to unravel the mystery at the heart of this ball.

Don't be deceived, these are not those same characters from your childhood memories.

Snow White and Red Riding Hood are all grown up and neither are daddy's little girl any more.

Meet a phantasmagoria of assassins, avengers and prophetesses; music hall starlets and black market bootleggers, fabulous émigrés from beyond the Palace's magical borders.

Seductive sirens lounge in the bathhouse and wait to lure you to a luscious end.

Alchemists will spin love spells into gold.

And of course, the Wolf, who's always at your door.

Lose yourself down corridors and into mysteries.

This is your chance to live your own fairy tale ending.

Indulge in the delicacies of The Prince's banquet to the sound of a ghostly orchestra.

Watch dancers and jesters, contortionists and buffoons as ballerinas fly through the air.

Rest assured, there will be Beauty and plenty of wine.

Follow the breadcrumbs, don't lose your way.

Your senses will be spinning and that's just what the Red Palace wants.

The Palace is Red, long live the Palace.

Dress like The Prince's Royal Subjects, with masquerades to impress.
