Synopsis

1939. Betty Bell: A burlesque star who doubles as a murdering sensation.

No one knows they come here so no one knows they die here.

A bewildered boy appears from the shadows.

He is swept up into the sequins.

He helps her to stage murders in her dressing room, meets her glittering troupe of dancers and hides from a conniving detective.

If I could help you, would you promise to keep a secret?

A farcical battle begins.

Can Betty and the boy put the past, present and future to right, before time catches up with them?

RUNT Theatre brings 'The Dripping Mirror': an award-winning bloodthirsty burlesque musical combining live music, comedy sketches and dance routines in a spectacular experience.

The Dripping Mirror is subversive and cartoon-like and explores censorship, gender and sexual empowerment whilst taking inspiration from the glamour of Hollywood films.
