ShoutOut is a festival of visual and performing arts calling out the violence and prejudice that many face on a daily basis in direct response to community concerns raised at Citizen's Assemblies and Youth Assemblies held throughout Newham and the East End of London.

The festival is a forum for the community to explore the underlying causes and effects of prevailing social concern arising from oppression, hate and prejudice.

Applecart Arts is accepting submissions from visual artists, performers, theatre companies, actors and musicians who feel they have, or are developing, work which relates to themes surrounding youth crime, the sex trade, violence against women, gender, sexual or racial prejudice.
