This year's London Student Drama Festival is poised to break into the West End.

For its sixth outing, the festival will be at the Duchess Theatre right in the heart of theatreland for the finals of its writing competition which will be held on Monday 19 March 2018.

London's most promising student writers, directors, actors, designers and producers will be hitting the stage with short pieces of new-writing to try and win awards for Best Direction, Best Writing and Best Performance.

The sem-finals are being hosted at The Pleasance Theatre Islington on 13 and 15 March, where professional judges choose the top 4/5 shows which then go on to perform at the finals.

And there's more ...

Play in a Day makes a debut in the festival calendar, scheduled for The Bunker on 12 February.

In this event, students are against the clock having just 24 hours to make a play, from writing to directing, performing to producing with 5 brave and talented teams taking on the task!
