Made into a film which was released in 1996, Jonathan Harvey's play 'Beautiful Thing' had its premiere in 1993.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this much-loved play and to open its new, larger venue, Above The Stag theatre will be airing Beautiful Thing again from 1 to 29 June 2018.

The show features memorable supporting characters, a summery soundtrack of Mama Cass songs and is a tender and optimistic play about two damaged boys and the love that heals them.

Since premiering at the Bush Theatre in 1993, Beautiful Thing has established itself as a modern classic.

This production also marks the beginning of a retrospective of Jonathan Harvey's work that will continue at Above The Stag over the next few years.
