Casting has been announced for Clive Brill's major revival of Gerald Moon's razor-sharp comedy thriller - Corpse! - due at Park Theatre in March.

Due at the Park Theatre from 4 to 28 March 2020, Gerald Moon's Corpse! gets a major revival with Clive Brill directing.


Best known for his role as Sam Carne in the BBC hit drama Poldark, Tom York makes his professional stage debut as Evelyn and Rupert in this 1984 lightning-speed comedy thriller.


A switchback rollercoaster ride of bluff, double-bluff and counter-double-bluff, Corpse! hurtles forwards and backwards through a macabre tale of misdirection, mistaken identity and murder.


Joining Mr York in Clive Brill's production are Paul Kemp (Wonderland - Nottingham Playhouse, Imperium and Wendy and Peter Pan - RSC) as Major Powell, Felicity Duncan (Stepping Out and Blythe Spirit - Frinton Summer Theatre, My Fair Lady - Mill at Sonning) as Mrs McGee and John Hastings (Small Island - National Theatre, King Lear - Chichester Festival Theatre, The Merchant of Venice - Shakespeare's Globe) as Hawkins.


About the director


Clive Brill last worked at Park 90 directing Black Chiffon by Leslie Storm - starring Abigail Cruttenden.


It garnered many four-star reviews (including one from ActDrop's Peter Brown) and an Offie nomination for best actress.


Mr Brill is Artistic Director and Producer of Frinton Summer Theatre, the UK's oldest Summer Rep, celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.


For BBC Radio 4 he produces GF Newman's The Corrupted starring Toby Jones, Jon Canter's award-winning comedy Believe it starring Richard Wilson, David Tennant and Sir Ian Mckellen and many other dramas and readings.


He is the producer and Director of the Arkangel Complete Shakespeare - winner of the USA's best audio drama production awards For BBC TV he produced the BAFTA winning drama The Healer by G F Newman, Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere and Exec Produced Peter Ransley's Seaforth.


Mr Brill can frequently be seen as the evil Sir Percy Thrower in repeats of Judge John Deed.
