Charles Dickens' ever-popular Christmas classic - A Christmas Carol - will get a reworking this coming festive season in a new adaptation by actor, author and producer Mark Gatiss.

The show is destined to premerie at Notingham Playhouse from 30 October to 14 November, before making its way down to London for a festive spell at Alexandra Palace from 27 November 2020 to 10 January 2021.

Mr Gatiss, who will also perform in the show as Jacob Marley, said ...

"A Christmas Carol has been absolutely my favourite story since I was, well, tiny.

It's an astonishingly powerful tale of life, love, loss and redemption and remains supremely relevant.

But at its heart it is a ghost story and that will be at the core of my new version.

A scary, thrilling, joyous adventure to get the blood piping on a freezing winter's night.

A Victorian phantasmagoria!"

Further casting is to be announced and you can buy tickets for both the Nottingham Playhouse run and the Alexandra Palace performances from 17 February.

Scheduling note: owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, this show has been postponed to 2021.

The dates below reflect the new schedule.
