Here's what's on this coming week ...


Monday - 22 June - SPOTLIGHT ON: NOUVEAU RICHE


Nouveau Riche are a multi-award winning creative movement.


Their objective is to discover, nurture and produce unique stories with a keen scope on work that is both educational and entertaining.


They have set out to create new writing that is thought provoking, challenging and culturally inclusive.


Artistic Director and Co-Founder, Ryan will be discussing how they formed, the work they have produced and what lies ahead for the collective as well as taking your questions.


Tuesday - 23 June - THEATRE & PERFORMANCE PUBLISHING


George Spender


George was the Editorial Director of Oberon Books, where he published hundred of playwrights including: Duncan Macmillan; Lemn Sissay; Simon Stone; Tanika Gupta and Alice Birch, and performance groups: Action Hero; Rash Dash; Forest Fringe and Ontroerend Goed.


He founded independent Publisher, Salamander Street in 2019 while living in Edinnburgh.


Now based in Bristol, the company focuses on new writing and Theatre-in-Education work.


In this session, George will be discussing theatre publishing and how it works.


Wednesday - 24 June - WHAT AN AGENT IS, DOES & HOW YOU GET ONE


Alexandra Cory


Alexandra is a Dramatists and Creatives Agent at Berlin Associates, one of the UK's best-known boutique agencies for film, TV and theatre.


Her clients include writers: Amy Ng; Asif Khan; Chris Bush; Iman Quershi; Tatty Hennessy and Teddy Lamb and directors: Katie Posner; Guy Jones; Harry Mackrill; Lucy Jane Atkinson; Ng Choon Ping and Poonam Brah.


In this session, she'll be breaking down the role of an agent, the benefits of being attached to one and how you can secure one.


Thursday - 25 June - SPOTLIGHT ON: FLUX THEATRE


Will Adolphy & Georgie Straight


Flux Theatre are a London-based new writing company creating socially engaging theatre.


Their previous work includes: Something Awful by Tatty Hennessy (VAULT Festival, 2020) and CHUTNEY by Reece Connolly (Bunker Theatre, 2018).


They are also the founders of new writing event EMERGE (Arcola Theatre) and Flux Gym.


Will and Georgie will be offering their insights into starting your own theatre company, producing productions and outreach with writers.


They'll also be sharing future plans and how creatives can get involved with them.


Friday - 26 June - SPOTLIGHT ON: THE GONSALVES METHOD


Aileen Gonsalves


Aileen is an actor, writer, director and education practitioner, working extensively with the RSC for over 15 years.


She also founded and is Artistic Director of Butterfly Theatre Company who specialise in site responsive, immersive and accessible Shakespeare in extraordinary locations.


In this session, Aileen will be discussing her unique acting method, The Gonsalves Method which is rooted in the Meisner Technique, and how it can be applied to any text.
