Online twice this coming week - on Tuesday and Thursday - is #KHTOnline, from the King's Head Theatre, with Brave New Worlds' Kate Lane and fight director Kev McCurdy.

The King's Head Theatre is back again this week - on Facebook and Instagram - at 1pm for 30 minutes with its regular online insights into the world of theatre.

TUESDAY 4 AUGUST - SPOTLIGHT ON: BRAVE NEW WORLDS
with Kate Lane
Kate is a London-based interdisciplinary artist and scenographer.
Her work explores performance making from a design-led approach and scenography as a visual dramaturgy.
She is a founding member and Co-Artistic Director of performance collective, Brave New Worlds with Valentina Ceschi and Guoda Jaruseviciute.
Their work sits on the intersection between performance, theatre and visual art.
Kate graduated from the London College of Fashion with an MA in Costume Design for Performance (Distinction) and has a BA in Sculpture from Camberwell College of Arts.
She is also the Course Leader on the BA Performance: Design and Practise course at Central Saint Martins.
Tune in to find out more about Brave New Worlds and their unique and captivating projects, a recent site specific performance in particular, and how their use of short film became strikingly relevant amidst the current global crisis.
THURSDAY 06 AUGUST - FIGHT DIRECTING
with Kev McCurdy
Kev is an Equity Professional Fight Director.
After completing a 5 year apprenticeship, he was awarded his Teacher status with, the then, Society of British Fight Directors.
After 3 years of professional acting, Kev completed another 4 years of training under the Equity Fight Directors Scheme and gained his Equity Professional Fight Director status in 1999, becoming the first Black Equity Registered Fight Director since the conception of the Society of British Fight Directors in 1969.
Kev has been Royal Welsh Colleges' resident Fight Tutor since 2005.
He is also the Co-Founder and Chairman for The Academy of Performance Combat.
He was awarded the Paddy Crean Fight Award 4 years ago and the
RWCMD Honorary Fellowship Award 3 years ago
Kev has worked on numerous plays, TV shows, Operas, Video Games and Feature Films.
Some of the companies he has worked for are: Pixar; Royal Shakespeare Company; National Theatre; The Old Vic; Manchester Royal Exchange; BBC 1 and Channel 4.
Kev will be discussing how to become a Fight Director, the rewards and the pitfalls and the choices and sacrifices that he's made.
Both KHTOnline sessions are free to everyone and start at 1pm and .
