Pippin adds (even more) dates
London theatre news: Tuesday 1 September 2020
Musicals - Open Air Theatre
Due to overwhelming demand, Lambco Productions' upcoming version of 'Pippin' announces a second extension of two weeks to Sunday 11 October.
Cast (from left): Joanne Clifton, Dan Krikler, Ryan Anderson,
Tanisha-Mae Brown, Harry Francis, Tsemaye Bob-Egbe
A new production of Pippin is revealing the scale of pent-up demand for theatre after weeks of show cancellations and postponements, and audiences having to stay home for their entertainment.
Lambco Productions' 6-player version of Pippin sold out its original schedule in just 72 hours and then added another 8 performances from Tuesday 22 to Sunday 27 September.
But that doesn't seem to have satiated the clamour for tickets, so the show has now added a further two weeks to its run at The Garden Theatre until 11 October.
London's new outdoor theatre venue launched with the sold-out, critically acclaimed musical 'Fanny and Stella' - which also extended its run twice due to considerable public demand.
