Apparently, the epic nature of the new Harry Potter stage play requires not one play but two - or two parts, as author J. K. Rowling revealed today.

The two parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings, according to the producers, Sonia Friedman Productions.

And ... even though the play's opening is still quite a way off, you can nevertheless register now for priority ticket booking at the show's website.

A date for the start of actual ticket sales hasn't been announced yet, though they will go on sale "this autumn".

So, if you want to get your name on the priority list and snap-up some of the first batch of tickets, head over and register now.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is by Jack Thorne and based on a new and original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. The play is due to open at the Palace Theatre in the summer of 2016.
