Accidents and Emergencies - 4 New Musicals
London theatre news: Friday 16 October 2015
London Fringe - Musicals - New shows
The Lost Theatre is presenting a programme of brand-new, short musicals inspired by experiences in Accident and Emergency (A&E) departments in England. From 3 Novmber 2015.
Here's an interesting idea and particularly relevant given the current issues facing the NHS ...
In July 2015, the creatives (composers, lyricists and book writers) received a series of prompts in the form of anonymised first-hand accounts of experiences in A&E.
Taking inspiration from ideas and moments in the prompts, the individuals and team have created new musicals, which are having their world premiere in Accidents and Emergencies.
The creators of the new musicals are Rebecca Applin, Gus Gowland, Jennifer Whyte and Matt Winkworth and Chris Bush.
Asia Osborne and Jeremy Lloyd Thomas are directing, with Nathan Martin serving as Musical Director.
Accidents and Emergencies is produced by Sue Knox for This Stage Limited.
