Panto time looms once more ...
Yes, as we start to leave summer behind, thoughts turn to another festive season and the upcoming barrage of panto mayhem and, probably, the reappearance of some well-worn jokes.
Those of you with a keen eye will have noticed that our annual button to link you directly to our panto listings has now returned to our home page.
Scary though it may be (for all kinds of reasons) the flavour of panto is certainly wafting around in the air again as the last bank holiday of the summer comes to a close and our panto listings mount in number - we already have around 30 on offer at theatres right across the capital.
Jack and the Beanstalk looks like it is just out in front in terms of popularity right now, with Cinders close behind, followed by Snow White and her little people and then Aladdin rubbing his lamp along with the front runners too.
All the usual suspects are in the line-up, including Mother Goose, Dick Whittington, Puss In Boots and Beauty and the Beast.
A newcomer this year is Trump!
Still, whatever your favourite, it looks like it will be on offer this coming Christmas time.
The early starters - from around mid-November include shows at Greenwich Theatre, the Lyric Hammersmith and Hackney Empire.
But the majority of the pantos in our listings will start during the last week of November and then play through until the end of the first week of the New Year.
You'll find all our panto listings here - keep coming back to find additions which are likely to grow in number throughout September.
And don't forget that other shows continue to crop-up until the festive season comes upon us - we currently have around 600 listings for current and upcoming shows - you can check them all out here.
