Clapham Fringe Festival 2018
London theatre news: Saturday 18 August 2018
Festivals - Multi-art - Performing arts
Now in its fourth year, the Clapham Fringe is a Performing Arts Festival taking place at The Bread & Roses Theatre from 27 September to 14 October 2018 - with 23 different productions and 48 performances.
Running over three weeks, the Clapham Fringe will host a variety of performances including theatre, comedy, storytelling and cabaret.
With something for everyone at this growing festival the Clapham Fringe is a great opportunity to discover and experience an exciting lineup of performances in the vibrant South West London area.
The Clapham Fringe Festival takes place at The Bread & Roses Theatre, an innovative and award-winning fringe pub theatre, located upstairs at the Bread & Roses Pub in Clapham, and within walking distance of several Tube and Overground stations in London Travel Zone 2.
The 50-seat fringe venue programs a wide-spread variety of productions.
Equality, diversity and artistic quality are at the forefront of the theatre's programming, whilst also providing theatre-makers with a space to develop and present their work on a box office split basis, rather than charging upfront hire fees.
The Clapham Fringe was founded by Rebecca Pryle and Tessa Hart, the team who also founded and manage The Bread & Roses Theatre.
Velenzia Spearpoint, the theatre's newly appointed Artistic Director, is managing the festival and Ella Gamble joins the team as Associate Producer, with the help of Roman Berry, Production & Marketing Manager.
Chuma Emembolu will provide light and sound design for all productions in the theatre and Rachael Head will operate the festival.
