After selling over 10,000 tickets and earning a clutch of 5-star reviews at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival, new British musical SIX is transferring to the West End's Arts Theatre from Thursday August 30.

And due to overwhelming demand, producers today announced a three-week extension to the strictly limited season to Sunday October 14.

The show features an all-female cast and band, and morphs the famous six wives of Henry VIII into pop princesses who mix their individual stories in a 75-minute celebration of sisterly sass-itude.

Here's the trailer ...

If you're unable to get to the Arts Theatre, the show has UK tour dates following the West End season:

Kingston Rose Theatre (31 Oct - 4 Nov)

Southampton Nuffield Theatre (13 - 17 Nov)

Salford The Lowry (4 Dec - 16 Dec)

Glasgow SEC (20 - 30 Dec).

Synopsis

From Tudor queens to pop princesses, the SIX wives of Henry VIII finally take the mic to tell their tale, remixing five hundred years of her-storical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of sisterly sass-itude.

Powered by an all-female band and with songs including Ex Wives, Haus of Holbein and Don't Lose Ur Head, this pop concert musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss is widely tipped to be one of the most exciting new shows of 2018.
