Author, broadcaster, One Show reporter, Just A Minute regular, and editor of the Oxford Book of Theatrical Anecdotes, Gyles Brandreth, will be in conversation with Joanna Lumley on Sunday 15 September, talking about her extraordinary life and career.
Ms Lumley will also be sharing and performing some of her favourite poetry.
From her childhood in Kashmir to starring on Broadway, from her days as a model in the Swinging Sixties through The New Avengers to Absolutely Fabulous, Gyles takes Joanna on a rollercoaster ride through a unique life with amazing (and frequently hilarious) stories of her times with everyone from David Niven to Will.i.Am - interspersed with magical moments from some of her favourite poets, from Edward Lear to John Betjeman.
Proceeds from this special afternoon event are going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital GOSH Appeal and the Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust, helping to nurture young people though theatre and the arts.
This is a singular opportunity to see one our most-loved actresses in person and certainly not to be missed.
And ... everyone in the audience gets a free copy of Gyles Brandreth's new anthology of poems to learn by heart - Dancing By The Light Of The Moon, signed by Gyles.
