Next up from LAMBCO Productions is a comedy musical with the surprising theme of 'tickling', perhaps indicating that almost any subject is open to a musical treatment.

Robert McWhir gets the directorial task of bringing Tickle: The Musical to the stage, with its performances due at Islington's King's Head Theatre from 14 to 26 Ocober 2019.

With book and lyrics by Sebastian Michael and compositions by Chris Burgess, the show involves two young, good looking guys who are made a curious offer: they can earn decent money from being ticklish.

Apparently, apart from being an occasional, humorous pastime, tickling is claimed to be a sport!

Though whether it's ever likely to find its way into the Olympics is subject for deabte.

Based on a true story, Tickle aims to take the audience into the strange world of competitive endurance tickling where it's all about laughing and lasting longest, but apparently not about lust!

We'll see on press night, which is slated for 16 October.
