Coming to the Drayton Arms Theatre from 17 to 21 March is Charity Case, a new play by Jeff Page.

Presented by Checkpoint productions, the play examines contemporary attitudes towards disability and the voluntary sector, and reunites playwright Jeff Page with director Manuel Bau, after their successful collaboration on Checkpoint Chana at the Finborough Theatre in 2018, which starred BAFTA-nominated actress Geraldine Somerville.

ActDrop reviewed Checkpoint Chana - you can read our 4 star review here.

Jeff Page commented ...

"Having worked in the charity sector for many years, I wanted to provoke debate on the future of charities working with disabled people and the reasons they still exist.

Why should people need to be 'donated to' in the modern world?"
