"One of those rare and unmissable treats, striking in its originality, at times bordering on the insanely funny, but also encompassing a number of highly moving and unsettling moments.

Enormously courageous and wholly captivating."

That was the five-star verdict from ActDrop's Peter Brown reviewing (back in 2017) Out of Spite Theatre's This Is Not Culturally Significant starring Adam Scott-Rowley.

(You can read Peter's full review here).

The Independent, giving the show a similar rating, said ...

"Deeply sad in parts, this performance is a 55 minute scream for help, and it sounds beautiful."

This Is Not Culturally Significant bagged a huge number of 5-star ratings from various sell-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, in London, and internationally.

The show's synopsis hints at its originality ...

"Unveils the bizarre, compulsive and eccentric nature of humanity.

Over ten characters are portrayed; from a pathologically lying classics professor to a despondent American porn star on the brink of her retirement.

This is a thunderous, high energy piece of theatre combining dark clown and deeply grotesque bouffon which holds up a mirror to the often unnoticed absurdities of human life."

That, however, misses one particularly striking and unusual element of the show - Adam Scott-Rowley performs in the nude throughout.

Now, for the first time, the show can be watched online for the very affordable price of just £3-49 - the trailer and link to view the full show is here.
