A complete dud. It isn't really funny, it doesn't tackle it's theme with any great imagination and frankly it was a waste of two hours.

Rodney Ackland's play is like spying on a drunken evening through a pub door. For the first hour it is intoxicating but then you just want them all to drink up so you can go home.

The Times could only summon up two stars for this show with Rory Kinnear - the rest of the critics were pretty-much split between 3 and 4 stars, with the majority (just) opting for 3.

Looks like top-notch stuff here with mostly 4-star ratings from the critics overall, though the likes of Paul Taylor of the Independent going for the maximum score and describing it as "a towering three-hour achievement".

In spite of a vinegary rating from the Whingers, Time Out and the Guardian seem to have warmed to this show.
